Machine Operator

Job Description

Job Summary: Produce quality parts as specified by Production Supervisor and to customer specifications. As well as work with Manager, Supervisor and co-workers to keep E&M Copper Products a safe and clean place to work.

Essential Duties:

  • Operate and set-up machines to perform operations, including, but not limited to, brazing, cutting, bending, end-forming, drilling, punching; with minimal scrap.
  • Verifying dimensions of parts machined using appropriate measuring instruments.
  • Clean work areas and equipment.
  • Suggest production improvements and report any errors or mistakes.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of production.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties required by Production Supervisor.

Work Experience Requirements:

1 to 2 years in a related field

Education Requirements:

  • High level proficiency with measuring devices (e.g. calipers, tape measure)
  • High level proficiency with reading and interpretation of customer drawings
  • Secondary education

Job Description

  • Operate and set-up machines to perform operations, including, but not limited to, brazing, cutting, bending, end-forming, drilling, punching; with minimal scrap.
  • Verifying dimensions of parts machined using appropriate measuring instruments.
  • Operate brazing/soldering equipment to weld parts.
  • Clean work areas and equipment.
  • Suggest production improvements and report any errors or mistakes.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of production.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties required by Production Supervisor.

Work Experience Requirements:

1 to 2 years in a related field

Education Requirements:

Assistive devices
We will ensure that any of our staff that deal with the public are trained on and familiar with various assistive devices that may be used by customers with disabilities while accessing our goods or services.

Training for Staff
E&M Copper Products Inc. will provide training to employees, volunteers and others who deal with the public or other third parties on their behalf. Staff members are to be retrained if there are changes to the plan or as staff changes.
